Obie the Wise
Obie (a.k.a. Oblio, Oberon, Obester, Oblemeister, etc.) was rescued from a
home where he was kept 24 hours a day inside a small
travel carrier. We think he's a cross between a Dutch and a Netherland
Dwarf bun pair, which (he assures us) is the smartest, nicest and
definitely the handsomest of all bunny combinations. We're not sure
of his birthday, but we figure it was somewhere around the Autumn of
1993.
"O.B." is short for "Office Bunny," since he lived in
Dana's office for several weeks before he told us he was
ours.
Obie is our most loyal, loving bun. Only Dana, Kevin and a
trusted one or two friends are allowed into his territory, which he first
shared
with his beloved Nala, who has since
passed over the Rainbow Bridge.
Obie now shares his love with the magnificent Rain, a great, white
thundercloud/snowstorm/tidal wave of a rabbit whose regal nickname is "Beebo." Although Obie
weighs only 4.5 pounds to Rain's 12, Obie is undisputed King of the Turf.
They adore each other, and spend many hours side by side, in mutual
grooming and pillowhood.
If your entry into Clan Beta's
territory has not been pre-approved by General Obie, expect to feel his
teeth in your shin almost before you see him rocket from cover to
attack.
Obie and Nala were completely in love with each other, and with their "goop"
(Laxatone).
Could this possibly be the face of a killer? (Answer: yes.)
