Advising for individual course selection is held well before each semester; usually in early November for the following Spring Semester and in early April for the following Fall semester. Please consult the academic calendar for dates.

     Health Science students should make an appointment to see an academic advisor through the secretary of the BHS program, Mrs. Barbara Varona  (305 284-3188 or bvarona@miami.edu). Be sure to check degree requirements first.

     Current U.M. students may use the EASY system to check next semester’s course and section offerings before making their appointment.  Career planning is a separate process from academic advising. See the University of Miami's Toppel Career Planning and Placement Center  or the BHS flyer on Graduate Allied Health Program in the State of Florida.

   Students considering transferring to the program may make an appointment before or after the advising period.
